The real Cuba with Yoyo experiences, straight from our Habanaboys days: music, barrios, countryside and the Cuba beyond the postcards.

Door-to-door day trips: Viñales and its tobacco valley, a beach day in Varadero, or a full day across Havana.

An evening route through the bars habaneros actually love — stops can include the Fábrica de Arte Cubano and neighbourhood favourites.

Live shows with living legends of Cuban music, at venues such as the Centro Cultural Bertolt Brecht and the Fábrica de Arte Cubano.

Live Latin Cuban jazz at venues such as the Centro Cultural Bertolt Brecht and the Fábrica de Arte Cubano — intimate rooms, serious musicians.

Salsa in the gardens of 1830, where habaneros go to dance — join in or watch the floor come alive.

Barrios beyond the tourist circuit, with the local people who live there — the city’s authentic vibe, unscripted.

Afro-Cuban culture with local protagonists: music, stories and traditions told by the people who keep them alive.

A respectful, quiet encounter with Afro-Cuban religiosity, observing alongside local practitioners. Nothing staged, nothing sensational.

Fincas, tobacco vegas and guajiro life beyond the city — the rural Cuba most visitors never see.

Sunday rumba in the Callejón de Hamel: drums, dance and Afro-Cuban tradition in a Centro Habana alley that is an open-air temple of rumba.

The Malecón at dusk, when habaneros fill the seafront to sit, fish, talk and watch the sun go down — Havana’s living room.

Cuban cigars where history smoked them. The gardens and halls of the Hotel Nacional — scene of the 1946 Havana Conference, where Lucky Luciano gathered the American mob’s bosses — and the Hotel Riviera, Meyer Lansky’s 1957 palace on the Malecón: golden-era stories, the VIPs who passed through both, and a fine puro in hand. Adults only; cigars and access follow each venue’s own rules and are set out in your written confirmation.
Ten classes and practices with local teachers, musicians and practitioners: salsa, cooking, cocktails, batá, bachata, Spanish for travellers, yoga, boxing, reiki and tantra.

Learn salsa with Cuban teachers at world-class salsa schools — from your very first steps to dancing with confidence.

Real Cuban food, cooked by you: shop the agromercado with a local cook, then prepare the classics — ropa vieja, congrí and tostones — in a family kitchen or a paladar, and sit down to eat what you made.

Behind the bar with local bartenders: a real mojito, a daiquirí and a Cuba libre, mixed the Havana way — technique, stories and all — and then the glasses are yours to drink.

The batá are the sacred drums of Afro-Cuban tradition. Sit with local percussionists, learn what the rhythms mean and play your first patterns — hands on the drums, with respect for what they carry.

Bachata with local dance teachers: the basic step, the turns and the musicality, at your own pace — from your very first steps to dancing a whole song with confidence.

The Spanish you will actually use in Cuba, with local teachers: greetings, paladares, taxis and real conversation — practical lessons at your own pace, from your first words to holding a chat on the Malecón.

Yoga with local instructors — on a Havana rooftop, in a quiet patio or facing the sea at sunrise. Breath, movement and calm at your level, whether it is your first class ever or your daily practice.

Cuba is a giant of world boxing, and the craft is learned in neighbourhood gyms with local trainers. Stance, footwork, guard and your first combinations — taught with the discipline and respect this sport commands on the island.

Reiki with local practitioners — a gentle, quiet practice of deep relaxation and rest in the middle of your trip. No promises and no theatre: just time to breathe and reset.

Tantra as a wellbeing practice, with local practitioners: breathwork, presence and connection for couples and adults only — guided with taste, professionalism and clear boundaries, and never explicit. A practice of slowing down together.
Venues and programming vary by date — your written booking confirmation always includes the final route and price.
Cuba lives sport like a religion: an Olympic powerhouse in wrestling and boxing, and baseball is the national game. Join local clubs and their training sessions — participation is always subject to each club’s acceptance, and is agreed in your written confirmation before you travel.

One card, three Cuban passions: boxing, wrestling (lucha) and baseball with local clubs. Train where Cuba trains — stance and combinations in the ring, technique on the mat, batting and fielding where the national game lives — in club sessions led by their own coaches. Participation is always subject to each club’s acceptance, and is agreed in your written confirmation before you travel.
Before you book
Two things we would rather tell you straight, the way we would tell a friend.
The street, with open eyes. Cubans are not dangerous — they are the best thing this country has. But Cuba is living through extreme hardship, and a few people may try to turn a situation to their advantage. So travel the way you would in any big city: agree every price before you start (with us, everything is in writing), keep your plans with us, and use your judgement. Do that, and what you will meet most is generosity.
Old buildings, real care. Much of Havana’s beauty is a century old, and building upkeep across Cuba is fragile: facades crumble and balconies deteriorate in almost every neighbourhood. Walk with the same care your guide shows you — do not lean on old railings, do not linger under scaffolding or cordoned-off areas, and follow your guide’s indications. The city is glorious; it simply asks for your attention.
Your first and last ride in Cuba, sorted before you land.
You land at Havana airport (HAV) and we are already there: your driver waits at arrivals with your name on a sign, keeps an eye on your flight if it runs late, and takes you straight to your lodging in Havana — in a classic car, or a minibus for larger groups.
From $35 / car + $5 ppWhen it is time to leave, we collect you from your lodging with all the margin an international flight needs and take you to the airport. No hunting for a taxi with your suitcases, no running late on your last day. Free return airport transfer included with every full tour or full experience booking. Not included with single classes.
From $35 / car + $5 ppBooked a full tour or a full experience with us? Your ride back to the airport is free. Free return airport transfer included with every full tour or full experience booking. Not included with single classes. Confirmed in writing with your booking. (The return ride on its own, without a tour or experience, is priced like the pick-up: from $35 per car + $5 per person.)
We design private end-to-end expeditions: private drivers in restored classic cars, stays in preserved colonial mansions and direct access to local historians.
